St John's churchyard - history being written by LBH

The Hackney Today came through the door today and includes an article on the upcoming improvements and changes to the grounds around St John at Hackney. It was amazing to see this being put forward as a Hackney Council project when they have actually imperiled it at several stages and been relative late-comers to it. Congratulations must go to Groundwork East London among others and the members of the local community that have kept pushing this project, a real project that will make an enormous difference to central Hackney.

This project is not "lipsticking the primate" and LBH have had to be dragged into supporting it; shame on them then for then taking the project and claiming such a central role in its development in their propaganda sheet.
