Has equality in sports gone too far?. A federal panel mulls changes to Title IX, which has remade women's sports over 30 years. [Christian Science Monitor | Top Stories]

Give me a fucking break. How can Title IX and "equality" go too far? This panel is a sham and I remain deeply suspicious of the women who have conceded to serve on it.

I mean, good god, the BULLSHIT of this whole sham is nothing but a big business cover for the industry of major college sports. This isn't about losing men's wrestling programs in order to field a women's swim team along with the men's, sharing an entire coaching staff between them. God, I get so mad I could SPIT! This is about wanting to dump as much money and scholarships as possible onto a football team with an impossibly huge roster and 5 different specialty kickers. And why? Don't kid yourself that this has anything to do with students. This is what the boosters are demanding, and the game that is NCAA Division I Sports has sold its soul to the boosters to the point that Boss Tweed and the first Mayor Daley would be embarrassed at the fucking patronage system. I know of boosters who very nearly call plays from their $9,000 sky boxes, the athletic dept whores for their money so deeply.

There isn't a "gift" given to an NCAA Division I major men's sports program that doesn't come with a string, with an expectation that the gift will be paid back in one way or another. Not charitable giving, no sir. It is about power and control, and the best parking spot and the best perks.

These big sports programs that sign coaches to $1.5 million 8-year contracts say they can't bear to fund men's wrestling and expect us to believe that WOMEN and TITLE IX are the MOTHERFUCKING REASON?! Do they really think we are that STUPID?

I been played like this before and I can smell the stink. Even in high school I saw the school board take a budget hit and decide to cancel all after school sports, knowing full well that we'd stage a mass demonstration and raise hell. And when we did, there they were, right on cue, saying, "Oh, we don't want to cut sports, but the county has cut our appropriation. Take up the issue with them."

In other words, it was just manipulation to con more money out of the county, and they used us to do it. They played us like an instrument.

They feel strong now, the Bushies. They know the dude in the White House was pissed when baseball almost went on strike, and likes to hang with the kind of people who own major sports franchises, even if Dubya doesn't have the Rangers anymore. I know the Texas money connection to big college football. If you have money in Texas, you are a booster of some team somewhere. The same went for Arkansas, and we were big rivals with Texas back in the day before the conference collapsed.

Fucking with Title IX? That is just a promised payback for folks who threw money to certain presidential campaign, good ol boys who all line up in their sky boxes and curse the damn restrictions put on them, and piss and moan why women need anything more than a leftover weight room and 10 year old uniforms anyway? Yeah, I know what it was like before Title IX, and I can see the fucking nostalgia for those "good old days" in these motherfuckers' eyes.

If they fuck with Title IX, there are going to be women warriors on their tails with hell to pay, I can tell you that. Xena goes on the warpath! Ayiyiyiyiyiyi!
