Hermanus Great White hits the headlines
From The Sun:
Terrified Briton Mark Currie came within inches of being eaten by a Jaws monster. Tourist Mark, 32, was sure he was going to die as the huge Great White shark attacked a metal cage he was dangling in.
And more graphic tabloid prose. Should be good news for the cage-diving industry. Reckless Brits will come flocking.
Later: Whoops, I shouldn't have said that.... an English surfer has been nibbled at Noordhoek. Looks like our Great Whites have got the taste for Brits.
Later Still: Now the cage-diving operators are complaining
about the over-the-top media coverage. I thought the Sun piece was a
bit heavy-handed, and on Greek TV news last night, the two incidents
were totally confused and garbled together in a very sensationalist
fashion. They had obviously obtained the footage from elsewhere.
