Microsoft gives report card on its .NET initiative. Seems questionable that the student should grade itself. I remember when Microsoft was rolling out Blackbird back in 1994, at the same time the Internet and www were coming on strong. It left a lot of people scratching their collective heads that MS had not picked up on the Internet at that point.(update) Microsoft execs foreshadow .Net future. I can't help but to believe that this is a 'BUY'. AOL Time Warner just beat wall street estimates for the first time in 3 quarters, it's down 75% since it's 2000 high and it has a great management team in Steve Case, Richard Parsons and Ted Turner. It's currently at $9... AOL narrowly beats estimates. The media giant just beats expectations but announces that the SEC is looking into its accounting practices in reaction to a critical newspaper report last week. [CNET News.com]
