JURIST, a website maintained by the University of Pittsburgh School of Law host a collection of amicus briefs filed by law professors in recent (and some older) appellate cases. Pretty cool resourse. 10:49:51 PM |

Even though I'm a LexisNexis guy (I used to work there), West has a pretty neat site that briefs certain cases. For instance, there's a brief on ETW Corp. v. Jireh Publishing, Inc., 99 F.Supp. 829 (N.D. Ohio, 2000). That's the case in which Tiger Woods sued Jireh for selling a painting that depicted his likeness. Tiger lost at trial, but appealed to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. The case was heard last September, but no decision has yet been issued. The New York Times published a story about the case on July 3, 2002. 10:46:35 PM |
