Thomson & Thomson has an excellent article by Ilene B. Tannen on How to Effectively Analyze a Trademark Search Report. TT uses frames, so to navigate to this article, click on IP Resources on the top navigation bar, then click on IP Fundamentals on the gutter in the left, then click the link How to Analyze a Report. Note, there's another link titled Analyze a Trademark Search Report, which is a link to a powerpoint presentation by Perry Viscounty, a partner at Latham & Watkins. Oh, what the heck, just click here to go directly to Tannen's article, but please go to the TT site as well. It has a ton of useful resources. 10:05:56 PM |

I love buying books on Amazon, but their website can be maddening. Today, very important images used as navigational tools are not showing up. Shame on Amazon for not having roll-over text appear so that users could navigate nonetheless. 10:05:56 PM |

Just discovered publisher Allworth Press (via Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts). Allworth publishes "business and self-help books for artists, designers, photographers, writers, and film and performing artists, as well as books about business, law, and personal finance for the general public. The press also publishes classic and contemporary critical writings on art and graphic design." Browsing through their catalog, I see many books I'd like to get. 10:05:55 PM |

Warren's Washington Internet Daily reports (sorry, no link to the story) that House Government Reform Committee Chairman Tom Davis put the brakes on any new regulations governing data mining.
