Area 1 - Obiettivo: Iraq o Petrolio? Leggete questo pezzo di Mo Mowlan - ex membro del governo Blair - pubblicato sul Guardian di oggi, sul vero perchè si va alla guerra. Cito alla rinfusa:

Intanto Bush si sta preparando per il suo discorso alle Nazioni Unite - previsto per il 12 Settembre (!!) - in cui detterà le condizioni dell'ultimatum all'Iraq. Si parla, tra l'altro, di 'ispezioni coercitive', in cui gli ispettori cui venisse negato l'accesso ad un sito sospetto potrebbero far ricorso ad un aiuto militare immediato da parte delle forze USA nella regione (si parla inizialmente di circa 50.000 uomini).
Nel frattempo - con una nave cargo affittata alla bisogna - la US Army's 3rd Infantry Division sta ultimando la sua terza spedizione di 'mezzi cingolati e su ruote' ....verso il Kuwait, con arrivo previsto per la fine di Settembre.
