OPINION: University of Michigan
DETROIT -- Drew Sharp of Detroit Free Press says every other school is closely watching how the NCAA morality police will deal with the sordid events at Michigan. If U-M's violations, which come to more than a half-million dollars in payouts to athletes, deserve nothing more than a ruler to the wrist and a stern finger of warning, then how can the NCAA demand the gallows for improper benefits of a few thousand dollars?
