BALTIMORE -- Associated Press reports a federal jury ruled in favor of the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday in a lawsuit filed by an artist who claimed the team used a logo he designed for three years without pay. Frederick Bouchat was seeking $2.2 million for logo use on merchandise, along with $416,000 generated by souvenir cup sales.

APOLOGY: Marvel Smith, Pittsburgh Steelers

LATROBE, Pa. -- Associated Press reports right tackle Marvel Smith apologized Wednesday to the Pittsburgh Steelers for his marijuana arrest, then promised that it won't be a distraction during one of their most-watched training camps since the 1970s. Smith appeared nervous and fidgety as he talked publicly for the first time since his July 12 arrest in a Tempe, Ariz., hotel room, saying he was embarrassed by what happened and, just as much, the reaction to it.
