TESTING: Chris Terry, Carolina Panthers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Chris Terry has been tested for drugs more than a dozen times by the NFL in recent months, according to court papers filed by his estranged wife in a domestic violence case. The allegation comes as the couple square off in civil court. Nyquell Jackson-Terry has accused her husband of breaking down a bedroom door in July while armed with a handgun and pushing her into a wall at their south Charlotte home.

Terry faces an assault charge stemming from an episode last July at the couple's home. His wife also has gone to civil court to secure a domestic violence order directing him to stay away from her for a year.

IMPLICATED: Pittsburgh Steeler Front Office

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports the attorney for a former Delmont man convicted of operating a scam that bilked Pittsburgh Steelers fans who tried to purchase season tickets said Tuesday that workers in the team's front office may have been involved in the scam. Stephan Swintosky, 26, did not speak with reporters as he turned himself in to Westmoreland County authorities who earlier this month issued a warrant for his arrest, but attorney Joe Duva told reporters yesterday morning that his client was just a middle man in what he called an elaborate operation that bilked Steelers fans out of more than $213,000 for season tickets.
