ARRESTED: Randy Moss, Minnesota Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS -- Star Tribune reports Vikings star receiver Randy Moss was arrested Tuesday evening after he allegedly pushed a traffic control agent for a half-block with his car before knocking her down during rush hour in downtown Minneapolis, police said.

Moss, 25, of Eden Prairie, was booked into the Hennepin County jail for alleged second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon after striking Amy Elizabeth Zaccardi, 27, of Coon Rapids. She suffered minor injuries when she fell to the street. As of 9 p.m., Moss had not been charged and was being held without bail.

LITIGATION: Duece Staley Added to Brian Mitchell Lawsuit

PHILADELPHIA -- Associated Press reports a police officer who filed a lawsuit claiming Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Mitchell assaulted her is also suing one of his teammates for defamation. Karen Haley says Eagles running back Duce Staley ruined her reputation by saying last year that she was harassing him. Her lawsuit was amended last Friday.

She is seeking an additional $2 million in damages from Staley, making the total damages $13.2 million.

The suit says Staley told team security director Butch Buchanino that Haley was harassing him, a complaint that was passed on to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Sylvester M. Johnson. Haley claims that she has suffered physical and emotional distress as a result.
