A strategic mistake?

Opera casts off legacy code for speed. The Norwegian browser maker, on the verge of releasing a beta version of Opera 7, borrows a page from Netscape's history to rewrite its software from the ground up.

Personally, I don't think following Netscape's footsteps is a good idea. And what will Joel have to say when he sees Opera making such a strategic mistake? :)

Belated congratulations to Sam Gentile on renewing his wedding vows. I meant to send this out this weekend, but got too busy (I don't think I even sat down in front of the computer on Sunday...).

And then I just realized Radio defaults to deleting news that is more than 24 hours old. Lost a few things I meant to post by not acting on them quick enough...
