Puzzles

I saw an ad yesterday with a puzzle. Two men play five chess games. Each wins three games. No ties. How is this possible?
Uhhh... This ones really easy. But I don't want to give it away. Think about it a bit...

Another puzzle that's not so difficult, from 1997: During the Cold War, a Russian plane crashes at the border of Poland and Germany. Where were the survivors buried?
Anyone who grew up watching the Brady Bunch knows the answer to this one! :)

And finally for those who have never experienced the magic. Count the F's and be surprised by your cognitive disability.
Argh!! This one got me (I even had to write a little C# app to prove it to myself!).

More on URLRun

Not only did Chris Sells send me a thank you for posting about UrlRun, he also let me know of another great utility.

UrlRunAddIn is an Outlook (not Outlook Express) add-in that allows you to highlight a URL in a plain text message and then select "UrlRun" from the right-click content menu to launch the URL! You get the same benefits as UrlRun all wrapped up in a nice add-in!

New remote from Philips

Remote Control.
This is what I call a remote control.

[News from the Forest]

Sweeeeet! I've been the proud owner of the Philips Pronto TSU2000 for about 5 months now and love it. The possibilities for configuration and customization are almost endless (RAM is always a limiting factor). I love being able to press a button and:

  1. The TV turns on
  2. TV input is switched to DVD
  3. The Receiver is turned on
  4. The Receiver's input is changed to DVD
  5. The DVD player is switched on
  6. The DVD tray pops open
I place my movie in and hit play! Sit back and enojoy (and be careful of the volume -- the kids are sleeping!).
