Aggie in a browser

This is a few weeks old, but I just noticed that Sean Slavin posted some screenshots of his Aggie port. Lookin' good!

Other .NET FX Tools

Commonality: "I've continued my exploration of the .NET Framework tools. Today, the time came for SoapSuds.exe and MgmtClassGen.exe."

Bloggin' Frequency

A whole week without an update. Sorry 'bout that. But I'm buying a new laptop so that I can tote it back and forth to work. Then I can start using it to check e-mail and blog while at work when something interesting happens.

Now I just gotta pick out a laptop.

[News from the Forest]

I'm in a similar position. I've decided to buy a laptop for occasional mobility. I plan on getting more involved in some of the local .NET user groups and would like to present from time to time. A laptop would make that much easier. Plus, there's been a number of times that I really wanted the mobility of a laptop.

For that reason, I'm looking at the IBM A Series notebooks ("The ThinkPad A Series is designed for occasionally mobile users who want desktop capability."). I had a DELL laptop at my last job and was happy with it, but our IT guy at work who deals with laptops -- and the salespeople who (ab)use them -- swear by the durability and performance of the IBM laptops.

Terminal Services

The biggest disadvantage of Windows Terminal Services is that the server has to be a Windows machine.
[Joel on Software]

Actually, it has to be a Windows 2000 Server or higher machine. Terminal Services does not work under Win2k Professional (which is unfortunate for those of us with a crappy ATI card in their Win2k pro machine at work!).

Sam Gentile & COM Interop

Sam Gentile: "The .NET COM Interop presentation that I did for the .NET User Group of Greater Boston is now available on my web site as a Powerpoint deck and the sample source code."
