The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for companies looking to do business with Mexico and should be available through the state's developing business portal.  Governor Leavitt is in Mexico City this week to enhance Utah's business ties to Mexico, for which I applaud him.   I lived in Guadalajara for a year and there are some great business opportunities there.   The Governor's visit, which will include talks with Presidente Vicente Fox is unprecedented in several ways.  The Wiring the Border initiative looks like an excellent public-private initiative to enhance telecommunications in the border region.  Several weeks ago, I mentioned the CANAMEX project which also has some excellent potential for enhancing technology development in the region.  Utah is one of several states with trade offices in Mexico.

Governor Leavitt presents President Fox with an Olympic torch.
