The Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers evaluates New Jersey's e-government efforts.  According to Eagleton, the best New Jersey sites are the Judiciary, the Legislature, and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

The federal government just released its latest egov report cards.  EPA was among three agencies that have now joined NSF and OPM in the green category.

Here's an interesting analysis of Utah's tax structure that was presented a couple of days ago.  Yesterday, the State announce a $106 million surplus for the '04 fiscal year.  Governor Walker mentioned in her recent press conference that she will be presenting her new income tax proposal on August 1st.
