Arteroids 2.02. Blow up words (not worlds). Hear funny, human-made sounds. Play the Bernie Award winning Arteroids - "A literary computer game for the Web — the battle of poetry against itself and the forces of dullness." Note that this game is actually funny, and fun, and, well, puzzling in a poetic sort of way. [DeepFUN Weblog]

So far in my 3 hours of being awake today, I've read two articles on how computers are faster than what the average person requires.  The first is a general article from newsfactor.com and the other in the print version of of emedia magazine.  The emedia article talks about authoring DVDs with an off-the-shelf Dell with less than $1800 sunk into it.

Add another @8:49am - New York Times - PC Makers Hit Speed Bumps; Being Faster May Not Matter

This makes me feel better about my backordered Tiger Direct motherboard and proc I order yesterday for $89.  I'm looking to use it down in the basement for multi-track recording. Hopefully everything will work.  The last time I built a computer from scratch the processor was a 486.  A lot has changed since then.
