I still only want to watch about 0.01% of what is shown on television. (The Blues on PBS this month looks cool) I'm not certain I'd want to by a strictly hardware device. Dell and Sony are probably going to offer a new lineup of Media Center PCs and I thought it might be worth looking into.
After all, Microsoft's version 2.0 is always better than 1.0. (Remember Word 2.0?)
Or should I look Open Source? Or will Apple have something by Christmas?
Hmm.
"The Media Center Edition of Windows XP, which among other things lets you record and watch TV shows like a TiVo, hasn't exactly taken off yet, but Sony and Dell are both expected to come out with PCs running the operating system later this fall. Actually, it'll probably be the updated version of Windows XP Media Center Edition that is supposed to be announced September 30th." [via Gizmodo]
