MythTV My MythTV box is finally working. It has taken me nearly a month to get everything working reasonably well. Some thoughts: Use hardware that is tried and true Not everything is that easy to find and compile Linux drivers for Rely on how-to’s and old posts from the mailing lists MythTV is more expensive (in hardware and time) than Tivo, but get more control and more features than you can imagine: PVR video recording Web Interface (for Scheduling recording from work) Music Library Picture Library Web Browser RSS Reader Weather Feeds Video Games Fully customizable interface Lots of work, but damn, is it worth it. 11:38:30 AM    comment []  trackback []
