How Nature Heals Us: New evidence that natural beauty, even in small doses, reduces stress --
July / August 2003 Issue. Some interesting tidbits: Researchers found that drivers who went on scenic routes "recovered more quickly from stressful driving conditions than those who saw billboards, buildings and parking lots." and "Some studies suggest that a houseplant or even a picture of nature can convey similar benefits." There's more data: hospital patients who had views of trees used fewer pain medicines and were discharged sooner than those who only had views of a brick wall.

VRs of nature might be as beneficial as well.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
