The World Wide Panorama, a quarterly event promoting VR photography, will celebrate the upcoming Equinox (22 September) with the theme "energy". More information at http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/wwp/Practical/NextEvent.html
This event is open to all, and worldwide participation is anticipated. The previous six events have created a showcase of VR photography, with over a thousand panoramas from 44 countries. The World Wide Panorama represents everyone in the VR community, from first-timers to famous professional photographers. View it at http://WorldWidePanorama.com
The rules for participation are simple. Photography must be done during the stated period of 21-25 September (Wednesday to Sunday). The subject matter must be related to the theme of "energy". There will then be over a week to produce a VR panorama in QuickTime format and upload it to the WWP preparation server, along with caption and other information.
The site will be available to participants during its assembly (21 September - 7 October), then closed for two days for final editing. The finished site will be open to the public on 10 September. We hope to have press releases in several languages available for distribution by participants.
