klogging roles
A discussion on klogging roles got me thinking. We have brokers and agents for many other kinds of property and services: stock brokers, real estate brokers, used car lots, salvage yards, temp agencies, etc. Why not knowledge? Google Answers provides answers to questions by hooking up the inquisitive with researchers who know how to find answers to sometimes tough questions. In an organization there's usually a couple of people who, even they don't have the answers, can point you to the person or resource that can give you the answer. This is what good librarians do, right?
- Does this need to be formalized in an organization? (Is it even a good idea?)
- To what extent can this be made electronic and/or automatic?
- Other questions. (Still working on this.)
