What Do You See?

Grace taught me to look.  I try when I’m in the car or on the street to see what is around me.  She wrote to me about it:

“… I remembered that’s how I used to be when I was younger. Always looking beyond what I saw, with keen ears to details beyond the surface… “

“Then I realized that it’s just a way of thought process. It’s something that has to be developed and learned. Seeing beyond the surface  is hard just because we are so used to running around, working, errands, clients, surface day in and day out.”

Sometimes my vision seems clouded, blocked or bland.  I looked out in front of me and it felt like I was looking through a semi-transparent blanket into a big void of nothing.  I wonder what Grace would see if she looked.
