Two

Today this blog turns two.  I remember when I was contemplating the idea of having a blog. I had just finished Naïve.Super and was heavily influenced into list making. I made a list of pros and cons. On the side of cons was that it seemed presumptuous to think that anyone would be interested in things I’d write.  On the pro side I thought that it would be a good way to follow my professional development as a programmer. I didn't know that what I was really starting was an open letter.

In the beginning I started writing about visual blogs and programming foibles but quickly realized that it was my friends who would check in with me here and that feedback was most frequent on ideas and comments on life.

The book reviews came later and even though they seem obscure I like going back and reading about what I’d picked up and how I thought of things.  Sometimes the past and the present are total strangers, other times they link so well.

I’m hoping to get back a little bit into technical blogging, but keeping it separate from this space.  I’m also wondering if I could one day convince other people to post entries1 here for a group blog effect.  Of course you could all just start your own blogs too and I’d just put them on my blogroll.

Well, until next June 28 then. Keep building.
