Thanks J

My brother saved me. I put my old computer, Minas Tirith, back up today and was going through old Kazaa downloads.  His eclectic tastes took me back to our one room apartment above a garage in uptown Whittier.  I found the Boston Pops Orchestra performing Super Mario Brothers, the Star Wars Imperial March, Nitin Sawney's blend of Indian and modern, the brilliant Nigerian Femi Kuti, and Hans Zimmer's themes from a few big budget films.

I'm unpacking my belongings for the new apartment.  I'm reminded of a Dervala entry from long ago as I unpacked my books reacquainting myself with my old friends and enemies.  I don't have enough shelf space for my books so some are in the closet.  The most important, both loved and hated, are on the shelves.

I can sometimes boost WiFi from default network, somewhere on the east side of the apartment.  I haven't had too much success so I make trips to Cool Beans, a coffee house in the more commercial south west side of Sioux Falls for internet access.

The new apartment has a beautiful view from the living room.  K will probably hate all the trains that come by during the day but I like to watch the cars go by.  Perhaps I'll develop a fancy for trainspotting; I've already been keeping track of the car numbers...
