Over and Out
My life has been a series of epochs: life in America, life in Kenya, life as a collegiate, life as a worker ant in and out of different corporations. But on Saturday, a new epoch begins, probably the most exciting one so far. On that day I will transition from living single to being married.
It's exciting and scary, panic and adrenaline. There's a long story, but the short one is that last September my life began to slowly unravel from job stability to my idea of a home to my idea of a country.
Just as drastically as it had unraveled, it began to come together. It's been building to this point, on Saturday when I exchange vows with K and start something new, like a little tiny maple leaf seed that's been blown to the ground and begun, just barely, to grow.
Even though my life has been so tumultuous, she's stuck with me: homeless, moneyless, country-less, and jobless. I love her for that and so much more.
So here is the announcement: DK 2005.
I won't have time to blog for a while, so here's my sign off for the next little while.
Over and out, I hope to see you on Saturday -
