Elevator posted in [home], [snippets] 2:30:22 PM    comment [] Concentration I'm having trouble concentrating today. It's been raining a lot in South Dakota.  Even the farm folk, often given to the expression, "We need the moisture!", have been daunted.  It reminds me of Oregon though, and Oregon always makes me happy. There have been quite a few thunder storms too.  If you ask me, the best aspect of plains weather is the storm.  When I remember what Californians call storms it makes me laugh; the conflict of hot and cold air in this place makes the weather volatile far beyond the modest rains that would characterize bad weather in southern California.  The thunder will wake you up, the wind reminds you that you are alive, and the rain changes the dead trees into a living green color.
