Fast, American

There was an auto show in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls today.  Most cars were American classics - everything from '69 - '72 Chevelles to drag cars to Corvettes.  There were a few foreign cars1 but they were usually stock directly (and for sale) from local dealers.

I find these cars definitively American: fast, fast, and fast2a,b

El classico.

The inside of a drag car.

The rims aren't big, but do tires count?

Looking fast.

Low flow.

1It's funny how we all like the cars we grow up around. I'd love a Land Rover Defender 90. I also grew up around manual transmissions. It was awkward for me to see the fast looking Corvettes with automatic transmissions.  Of course, the owners would argue that these are as effective as manuals...
2aIn a straight line. Handling?  Whatever for?
2bA lot of what I know about these cars, I learned from video games. And they keep getting more accurate.
