Information Architecture as it should be...

Christina's book is finally out.  Today I read an excerpt (PDF format) linked to from a fine article that reviews it.  The sample chapter covers some essential principles to establish a basis for Information Architecture.

Usually I am annoyed by lots of screenshots but the sample chapter was full of helpful examples of the principles at work along with very useful screen captures [it is a design book, not a coding one...].  I also enjoyed the balance between serious but informal language - the last thing, it seems she wanted was to come across as a blowhard.

I was so impressed I purchased it right away from Amazon (with overnight shipping, but that's because I'm in South Dakota and it makes you mad that way...).
