Think you know how to network? Meet the master.

The 10 Secrets of a Master Networker.

"Indeed, some of the world's best networkers say that the still-only-36-year-old Ferrazzi may be the best of all. Ferrazzi is something else, too: an archetypal American story, the poor kid -- born to a steelworker and a cleaning lady -- who works his ass off to get into Yale and Harvard B-school; who becomes the youngest elected partner at Deloitte Consulting and then the youngest Fortune 500 chief marketing officer, at Starwood Hotels; who gets tapped by famed financier Michael Milken and others to become CEO of YaYa, a pioneering company in the creation of on-line games as custom-marketing vehicles. In two years Ferrazzi has transformed YaYa from a clever idea into a thriving business."

Achieving Entrepreneurial Success With Consistency.

One of the keys to achieving and sustaining success is to develop consistency in your life. Consistency defines the beliefs and values that are the basis of a strong leader. The famous philosopher Plato said, "The first and best victory is to conquer self." Consistency and self-discipline position a leader to go to the highest level and maintain leadership that lasts.

Without fail, a successful leader will remain committed every day to the larger picture -- even when times are difficult or inconvenient. Phillips Brooks said, "Character cannot be made except by a steady, long, continued process." By acting and reacting in a consistent manner, a true leader will eventually achieve desired results and will become a valued resource and support to family, peers, and community.

To be consistent does not mean to be rigid. It means consistently applying correct principles and being consistently balanced. It means to be consistent in integrity, honesty, and loyalty. "My word is my bond" sounds old-fashioned, but it is the key to consistency.
