BloggerCon Day 2

Roland Tanglao's Report on BloggerCon Day 2

Jon Udell's Day 2 BloggerCon Aggregators Discussion.

[Roland Tanglao: WebCMS]

More will/may be added as the day progresses.

I have been thinking over what I have seen so far. First, looking at the photos, how many people actually came to the conference? It looks to me like maybe 80 about 105 at Day 1; if you subtract the number of panelists, VIPs, and "staff", it starts to look more like a confabulation of the A-list webloggers and a few regular folks. Not sure how many of the 20 to 50 half who were not A-listers are there because they have an agenda, because they are serious hobbyists, or because they were attracted by the celebrities.

Also, based on the sketchy notes from the attendees that have been posted here and there, I don't see anything new or surprising. Maybe I missed it. I have no doubt that people are excited - that comes through clearly. But it's a lot of review of what has taken place, some "gee we're cool" and some complaining. I notice that the only clear consensus on the software and aggregators is that all of it has a loooong way to go.

If I had been there and felt this way, I'd describe my reaction as "underwhelmed." Where's the meat? I want applications that will move business, learning, and communication forward, not another CB-Radio craze.

Maybe I just need more coffee and a Happy Pill.
