New Laws and Regulations.

There are a number of changes and new laws and regulations that entrepreneurs who rely on direct marketing should be aware of. Here's a good summary. -- BB

Direct Marketers Look to Impending Changes. DM News compiled a list of laws, regulations and policies coming into effect in the new year that affect direct marketers, particularly Internet marketers. It's a good guide for new measures to be enforced this month from the Can-Spam Act. It also reveals the deferred schedule the Federal Trade Commission has been given by Congress to consider such measures as a do-not-spam list and forcing commercial email to use the ADV prefix.
