MOUStech.NET, LLC continues to provide wireless Internet services aboard Holland America for Palo Alto, CA company Geek Cruises.

The WIFI market aboard cruise ships has been evolving as Marine Telecommunications Network expands its install base of wireless Internet services aboard Norwegian Cruise Line and Holland America Ships. During  the Geek Cruise .NET Nirvana, co-sponsored by Microsoft Partner Wintellect, MOUStech.NET, LLC expanded the Digital Seas International (owned by MTN) wireless network to include coverage in the seminar rooms and various public areas on abord the Veendam during a Western Caribbean cruise to Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Mexico.

"MOUStech.NET is very pleased with the level of cooperation that we have always been offered by the Digital Seas Internet Cafe Managers and the MTN technical staff. This cruise marks a dramatic change in the services MOUStech.NET is able to offer aboard Holland America for Geek Cruises," said Bernie Dunham of MOUStech.NET. "We were faced with a new technology challenge: how to integrate the MOUStech.NET WLAN into the newly installed Digital Seas WLAN. This is the first Veendam cruise on which DSI has offered WIFI, so this is yet another experiment."

Simon Phipps, Chief Technology Evangelist for Sun Microsystems demonstrated during a Keynote Address how via WIFI he could access and take control of his home office PC with a JAVA applet running from his laptop. "This is very cool technology," Simon explained to his audience, as he demonstrated the ease at which devices are now able to share data.
