I'm on a course looking at how we learn and how we develop and use
technologies to support learning. I'm interested in: online support for
communities of practice, informal learning, the social affordances of
technologies, knowledge-building communities; messing with hierarchy,
ownership of ideas, making the world better(?) through learning.
I've
had a fantastic failed experiment in using wiki technology in a
classroom setting! it was such a brilliant failure and i learned tons
thorugh the experiment. Visual Design Tutorial Reflections forthcoming.
Now-
I'm working with a group of internet non-users, and introducing wiki
for them, to support their community of practice. We'll see how this
goes
