We're embedding a Speed Geek event into the upcoming Wiki Symposium. If you have cool ideas or projects that you are able to show and
explain quickly, this will give you a chance to do it several times with
successive small groups of listeners. Just list yourself on the wiki symposium speed geek page. The interesting concept of Speed Geeking originates from Penguin Day - here's an explanation lifted from this page:
The
popular 'speed geek' exercise gives participants a chance to experience
a broad range of tools in a short period of time, pairing them with
presenters who subject them to rapid-fire presentations of software
applications. In a fashion not unlike speed-dating, listeners can
quickly decide whether each tool is something they'd like to learn more
about later.
