A Workshop on "Digital Preservation - Experiences and Strategies" will be held in the National Library on November 25th 2002, in Lisbon, Portugal.
It is organized by the National Library together with CLIR - Council on Library and Information Resources, DELOS - Network of Excellence on Digital Libraries and ECPA - European Commission on Preservation and Access.
The purpose of this Workshop is to present the state of the art in initiatives addressing the problem of the preservation of information in digital formats and media. Also it is to raise the national awareness for
the problem and to promote national strategies for collaboration and
specific steps to be taken at the national level.
