2nd Week Wrapup
Today is the end of my second week as an official state employee, and I'm feeling pretty good about how things are going. Of course, I haven't gotten anything major accomplished, but I am deep into things that are gaining some momentum. Also, It is gratifying to see that you can have a visible positive effect on an organization, even if it is just facilitating decision making and action taking.
My focus this week has been on Teamsite Content Management, UMD, Actuate, and Authentication. Basically, I am working on the products I identified in my January 17 post, with the addition of Actuate. It would be irresponsible to back-burner Actuate right now, because we have some momentum with it and we are making progress. From a product definition standpoint, Teamsite, UMD, and Authentication will be done before Actuate.
I am excited about next week. I hope to have a lot accomplished. Next week will be the first week where I attack UMD and Authentication at the same time.
