Application Hosting
I'm glad you took the time to read my blog on Application Hosting (hereinafter referred to as apphosting, which is a separate product from webapphosting, which Shane Clark manages). I hope that you will come back often and find the information useful.
Here's the current scoop on the apphosting product family:
As of now, I am unfamiliar with the apphosting product. I am aware that ITS hosts various applications for many agencies on our mainframes, but I do not yet know the details of that business. It seems to me to be one of the products at ITS that has been running like a well-oiled machine for some time, so it is not, nor has it been communicated to me to be, a pressing subject that needs urgent product development or redevelopment work. In spite of its apparent track record of success, I do intend on becoming involved and helping the product improve and prepare for the future, whatever it may be.
