On Tuesday I attended a demo meeting for a company called Verite (pronounced veritay) hosted by DCED. DCED has purchased a license for their events management "etool." They presented other products including a lightweight testing/polling feature. While the events management tool was pretty neat, it doesn't seem like something that ITS or the state as an enterprise should try to manage as a product and push to agencies, at least not right now. The license that DCED purchased for events management has been extended to any state agency, so if anyone wants to use this product, please email me. A polling gadget is included in Novell Portal Services, which we are in the middle of implementing, so I see no further need for action with regards to Verite.
