Teamsite Content Management
I am currently struggling with creating a web content management product. Many agencies are expressing an urgent need for content management services. ITS got very far down the road to implementing Interwoven Teamsite. It's a great product, used by fortune 500 whatevers, and is our best option right now for scaling content management to the enterprise, instead of individual agencies. I just struggle with the logistics and economics of it. There are a lot of questions surrounding the product.
I have begun a project to figure out the best approach to take in productizing content management. It is a high priority for me to get management the answers they need ASAP. I will be working directly with engineering to glean implementation information from them, and determine how provisioning of new customers will take place. I will also be working with the hosting product manager (the famous Shane Clark) to determine how it fits into our hosting model. Also, I will be meeting with customers to work through implementation procedures and to verify that I know what they really want, and what they expect us to do for them.
