If you have an interest in supporting JAVA on your web site, ITS has signed an agreement with Sun to use their 'Jump to JAVA' gif file and applet. These can be put on web pages (within the license requirements) as a means for people to access the Sun site through a quick link.

Our Linux box has been up and working for close to two months now. It is running RedHat Linux, Apache, MySQL, Tomcat, and PHP. A thank-you goes to Wade Billings for bringing the following CERT advisiory to my attention.

CERT Advisory CA-2002-21 Vulnerability in PHP

You can read this at: http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2002-21.html

I will upgrade to 4.2.2 next month. I did install 4.2.2 with Tomcat that allows PHP to run as a servlet. I encountered serveral errors and stability issues that need to be resolved prior to implementation.
