I have a slew of DVDs from Baby Einstein that were purchased for my daughter's education and enjoyment. Now that she is almost walking, she likes to open everything and, if the item is small enough, likes to taste them. I anticipate some of these DVDs to be on her menu so I wanted to make sure that we had backups of the originals so that she could continue to enjoy the programming.
It took some time to figure out what software to use to make a copy, and it boiled down to using SmartRipper to copy the DVD contents to my hard drive, and then using Nero Express to burn DVDs. I was hoping to using something like DVD X COPY EXPRESS, but the software didn't recognize the Sony DVD burner - maybe there will be a patch soon that fixes this problem.
