Desktop search into Groove?

I was playing with the MSN Toolbar and Desktop search features today - some pretty nice stuff! So I'm wondering how we could get Groove content to be searchable, and came up with some thoughts on how it might be doable for Groove Instant Messages:

1) Create a Desktop addin that does the initial indexing of IM contents by using Groove's Message Web Service to get a list of all IMs and write them into a search compatible data source (e.g. file, database)

2) Create a service/app that establishes an event subscription for new IMs by using Groove's Event & Subscription Web Services.  When new IMs are received, update the data source via the Desktop addin.

I know I am probably trivializing some aspects of building this solution, but anyone up for it?  BTW, the Groove Web Services Development Kit can be found here

Once it's working for IMs, I can easily see extending this to Groove Discussion tools, or any tool with a strongly typed schema.  The extra-bonus point for getting tools working is you can then add a step 3:

3) Create the appropriate protocol handlers such that if Groove tool item shows up in a search result, you can use Groove's Local Web Service to cause Groove to open up a window and navigate to the item.
