Need some elaboration here... The role of small-talk in building real-world relationships.  What is it exactly?  How does it work?  This could be a fascinating concept. I think Ryze uses its message list (on your page there) as the vehicle to convey small-talk initial stuff...  But you get a better insight into who someone represents themselves to be, before you initiate the small talk. ===================== Awkward profile introductions.
