 My Python Starter Kit

I managed to ignore the steady hum of Python chatter until our CTO asked me about it. He is all-a-twitter about Python. I am itching to wrap my current project... I want to tinker....lemme try....c'mon, give me a turn....(maybe because I can call it "work" instead of "goofing off").

Some random links on Python, Python Bloggers, and Python Aggregators:

• python.oreilly.com probably a good starting point.
• myelin's Python Community Server: "a web server, written completely in Python, that implements the xmlStorageSystem protocol used by Radio UserLand, a popular weblog tool."
• Pyblosxsom: "a weblogging tool that's 100% compatible with blosxom".
• An article by Jon Udell, Shipping the Prototype: "If you start writing in Java knowing as little as you did when you started writing the Python version, you'll waste way more time exploring than actually building the system you'll eventually build."

 Radio Feature Requests

Radio's direction?. Robert Barksdale asks where Radio is heading - what's in store for version 9.0?
Over the last year, the UserLanders have fixed the killer bugs (the first-of-the-month bug and the aggregator double-decoding bug), got remote backup working, and Radio generally seems to be pretty stable now, but there haven't been any earth-shakingly cool new features for ages.

What features are people looking for in blogging packages? What's left to do? Suggestions please :)

2. A checkbox to "omit this post from syndication".**

On a higher level, I will be excited if the next version irons out the UI and makes Radio really really smoothe and really really intuitive on the PC AND the Mac.
