Usability in the HomeI toyed with the idea of creating a separate category called Usability in the Home for sometime, but never did. For quite a while I had a system for keeping my place clean and un-cluttered but a few events caused a system breakdown from which I have yet to recover. First, I sold my car because I wasn't using it anymore, but what happened was I didn't drop stuff at GoodWill, which has created a backup. Another was getting a roomate, who threw off my whole system (it's efficient to delegate responsibility for one's problem, right?). He has since moved out, but as we all know it is harder to catch up than to keep up. Finally, I lost the key to my storage space on the bottom floor of our building, creating another blockage in the channels of clutter-busting. Cat Conner's (MeFi's frykitty) new blog-style KISS Living site is great for us fleeting-attention-span types, providing tips based on her "Keep It Short and Simple" technique. The other resources I like are flylady, Rita Morgenstern's book Organizing from the Inside Out and the Queen of Clean. 5:23:50 PM |

All the little problems are fixed.Sounds appealing, but I've become so attached to my Google and Dictionary.com toolbars. 3:29:32 PM |
Voting: Why Bother?Rp of Virginia says he lives in a state where his vote won't make a difference, it is overwhelmingly Republican. I too have that problem living in California, the democratic candidate will always win, (I better check the facts on that statement) so I may as well stay home. What do you say to voters like ourselves? Rp also needs comments on his weblog. Get that server up and get some comments, man! Enough running and rowing, stay inside and be sedentary for a change! Voting is at the very end of the election. The best part of an election takes place before hand; there's drama, conflict, a longshot can come from behind to take the lead.
