Mapping the Political Blogosphere

Found a map of the political blogosphere via Oliver Willis. Here is just a scrap, illustrating Instapundit's position near the center, and Right Wing News in the upper right.

Weblog Categories as Courtesy

Weblog Categories: the 'con's:

  1. categories take up too much space on the hosting server, approaching the limit in Radio Userland
  2. multiple copies of the same post make it difficult to edit posts.

Weblog Categories: the 'pro's:

  1. if weblog has an audience, splitting off-topic posts (such as political comments on a developer's weblog) and routing them to a separate url and separate feed are courteous practices for managing information.

Should I resurrect the categories.....or does technology like ENT provide these benefits without costing server space?
