iTunes for Windows rollout scheduled for Oct. 16. In April Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced that his company would, before the end of the year, introduce a Windows version of its iTunes software. Since then, Jobs and other Apple executives have stopped short of offering a specific timetable for when the Windows version of the music player software would be released. Now, at long last, it appears that the wait will soon end: MacCentral has received an invitation to a special Apple event scheduled for October 16th, presumably for the rollout of the long-awaited iTunes for Windows.
