This weekend, and projects Well, it was an enjoyable weekend. I found time to work on a few things that I felt that I have neglected. I've also had time to work on a web based scout tracking system. The basic framework is in place, and I've based much of the web pages on EasyScout. Why? Well, a couple of reasons. The first is that EasyScout hasn't been worked on in a while. I sent a message to the email address they asked you to send it to, however it was no longer working. I then found the guy who wrote it through a bit of detective work. I sent him an email and he never responded. Second: I think that, while the program is nice, it is not extensible. I looked at it, and it wasn't very flexible and easy to create additional parts for it. So, I'm recreating it, but with a much more flexible architecture. So, for now it is called WebScout, and is based on EasyScout. From there I will create my own reports and make it much easier to plug-in custom pages. 11:11:20 AM    comment []
