I heard on NPR's Dianne Reames (sp?) this morning about a theory on how the sense of smell works. It was interesting. I don't remember what the current theory is, but this theory is based on the idea that the molecules have a certain electrical signature, and that this signature creates certain vibrations within the nose. It is these vibrations that makes the sense work. I'd be interested in learning more about it, but right now I'm jst working on the books that I currently have on my plate...about seven total right now.
